Pros. The location was amazing! We were only there for a short time, but we were able to walk pretty much everywhere
Cons. The bathroom was very out-dated. The tub was chipped in many places. The shower head was very high up and almost facing the wall, but it was too high to reach to fix it. The sink had a hot water faucet with its own spout and a cold water faucet with it’s own spout, making washing up extremely difficult!! Also there was a vent that came on when the bathroom door was opened and it blew the shower curtain into the tub, so it would stick on my body while i was in the shower, which is kind of gross.
Pros. The hotes is right in the middle of everything you want to see! The Vat pub was great atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and nice.
Cons. There was a construction site next door. Horrible noise starting 7 a.m.
Pros. Great hotel. Nice and clean but pretty pricey considering all you get is the actual room. Call ahead if you have a car to park. We parked in Fleet Street parking as they advised and it gave us a reduced(but still pricey) rate for parking our car. Easy to find, wonderful staff. The “what I didn’t like” is more for extra info. Would 100% recommend this hotel and 100% stay in again if ever back in Dublin! Perfect location!!!!
Cons. No hair conditioner. If I hadn’t called ahead and asked about parking in downtown Dublin it would’ve cost a pretty penny. No breakfast but you do get two small complimentary drinks when you get there. The drinks at their bar are pricey but comparable to other Temple Bar pubs. Breakfast restaurant closes at 11:00 even though check out is at 12, so be mindful!
Pros. The hotel is situated right in the heart of where everything happens. For most of my itinerary, I was able to walk.
Cons. The hallway carpeting can use a good cleaning to remove the old and stale smell.
Pros. Excellent location for the price. Not a premium hotel but perfect if you're on a budget and want to be in the center of everything.
Cons. Noise echoes through halls at night, outside street noise at any hour.
Pros. Location
Cons. Very very very noisy.
Pros. The hotel is located on Dame Street which is directly in front of Trinity College main entrance and on the edge of Temple Bar District. Because we were staying for a week, we opted not to have housekeeping come in every day. The housekeeping staff left bundles of towels, shampoo and toilet paper outside our door to restock the room.
Cons. The bathroom needed maintenance. There was mold growing on the wall above the door and the grout was discolored with mildew. The toilet leaked and made the room smell of sewer. It was unusually warm the first day we were there. They don't have air-conditioning; which is understandable but there were no fans available and the windows only open a few inches. The area outside our window was filled with several mechanical units which were rather loud.
