Filled up tank -apparently it wasn’t tiptop full, but it had stopped so budget charged me $5.00 for gas. Pretty chapped about it actually. Staff was ok, but it was confusing to pick up/drop off in a tent. ? Wasn’t going to say anything about tent service but since they are being petty about gas. Travel a lot, never had as much confusion as to where to pick up/drop off and never in a tent.🤔Reviewed Oct 21 2024

I got flat out denied to rent a vehicle due to not having a credit card with a high enough limit but plenty of money via debit card to cover anything necessary. Rental car companies take debit cards and have zero issues. I provide a deposit, all money for the rental, rental car insurance, etc. How is it that my credit rating is any concern? I can literally pay you up front, my driving history is practically spotless. I have no criminal history. Why can I not rent a car? If it wasn’t for Jerry at Avis and approval from management, I would’ve been stranded during a move. STL area has no vehicles to rent outside the airport and you can’t do the same processes you can at a non airport location. I had to rent a second vehicle from 2 hours away to finish my trip. Make it make sense and shame on Kayak for putting me through this.Reviewed Jul 21 2024

I was expecting a Ford Edge, recieved a Ford Explorer. While upgrades are nice, the difference in gas milage was significant. We drove from St Louis to Yellowstone National Park and back. Also the car was not ready at our scheduled time so we had to wait for the car to be cleaned, about 20 min. While not Budgets fault, I did not like the dail shift control or the information screen in the explorer. The drop-off was quick easy and hassle free, but we were not given a receipt. As an experienced traveler, I knew that the receipt would be e-mailed to me, but my wife was upset that I could not tell her how much the car rental had cost at drop off.Reviewed May 27 2024
