Pros. It seemed clean, the bathroom was spacious. Location is close to lots of outdoor activities.
Cons. Facilities seemed clean but definitely have seen better days. Despite being advertised, the wifi and tv both did not work. We couldn't find anyone to ask to fix our TV, and when we left a note it went ignored. You can hear your neighbors, the floors are slanted and floorboards bend under your feet. Be prepared to either put money in the jukebox or sit in total silence at the bar. We booked last minute and it was the only thing available. As a place to lay our heads it served its purpose, but I would never return. Especially not at this price. There's plenty of places that actually care that charge the same or less.
Cons. Let me preface this by saying the house/hotel was built in the 1880s so I had to be forgiving. While the beds were comfortable (a huge plus), the room set up was bizarre. The second bed was directly under a window a/c unit, so we had to sleep in the bed pressed up against the wall to avoid freezing our heads. The floors were unbelievably slanted which was bizarre, and the bathroom had drop ceilings and dead bugs in the flourescent lighting. The towels weren't much bigger than washcloths. For 30 dollars less a night I wouldnt complain at all, but would expect nicer digs for over a hunder per night. One thing I will say, it was quiet. It is fine if you need a place to sleep because you are in town for a wedding or big event, but not for a stay of more than a night or two. If I had my kids with me I would have been far less forgiving.
Pros. Very friendly staff, close to major roads, very quiet area, nicely setup breakfast / restaurant room. Reasonably priced compare to other hotels in the area and one of few to let you stay for one night.
Cons. Rooms may need some updates.
